The renovated Gym Lofts building opened in 2005 with 54 one- and two-level loft condominiums and is governed by the Gym Lofts Association.  Originally opened in 1938, the building today features a large furnished lobby in the original main gymnasium, a section of the original bleachers, a laundry/exercise facility in the basement, elevator, trash and recycling rooms, storage units available for lease, and a secure entry system. The Association allows pets (see Rules & Regulations below) and prohibits smoking in the building, including common areas and units.

The 54 units range in size from a one-level loft at 507 square feet to a two-level loft at 1,895 square feet.  While each loft is unique, all units have operable windows, full-size washer/dryer connections, high ceilings, ceiling fans, HVAC units with programmable thermostats,  one or two full baths, and alarm systems.  Unit kitchens typically include a refrigerator, oven/range, microwave, dishwasher and disposal.  Flooring types – wood, bamboo, painted or unpainted concrete, carpet, vinyl, tile – vary by unit.  There are 13 floor plan types in the building:
